The First Monthsary
Yay I finally have internet in my room! :‘) the old school way of course, with an ethernet cable. I can’t help but constantly draw comparisons between Europe and Asia sometimes. Here we chinky-eyed 'ahhh-shi-ans’ think that being in the West is so much better. With state of the art technology, best food and the latest fashion. Well, yes and no I suppose. But in general, when it comes to gadgets and technology stuff, Asians will be the first to throw their money at it and wipe up all the most up-to-date devices. Whereas the Europeans throw their money at eateries with good food and beer/wine. Oh, plus they would pay a premium if a restaurant has a good ambience. All of which, uhm, kiasu and aunty Cam will not do. But it’s nice to take note of this subtle difference.
So anyway, it’s been one whole month breathing European air. Truth be told, I miss the dense tropical air in Singapore. But from what I’ve been hearing, I would like to minus the haze back there. If you’re thinking I’m cray-cray, it’s cos my nose is perpetually blocked here and it messes with my taste buds every single moment. (Ahh, maybe that’s why I keep overeating here cos I can’t taste my food!) I miss sweating when I exercise. I miss you, my springy and soupy yong tau foo!!!!!! I MISS YOU SO SO VERY MUCH YOU CAN’T EVEN IMAGINE HOW MUCH MY HEART YEARNS FOR YOU.

If any consolation, it just started to rain (quite heavily too I must add) today in Leuven. The warm air, and crisp rain smell was comforting to the soul. :‘) It reminded me so much of home. Sigh, I really suck. People long to go for their exchange and explore the world. I do too. But I would like to pack all those who matter so much to me along. That way, it would be so much more fun. Of course, I still stand by my life motto that everything happens for a good reason. I will, and I have been slowly uncovering all that was meant to happen for me. God is good. :) And don’t get me wrong, I am still enjoying every moment of my exchange. I’m just an emotional sucker.
So, Happy 1st Monthsary, Europe. It’s just you and I. With many more months to come.

Munich where the #2Asiansineurope are BACKKKKKK. Stay tuned! ;)
