Lay Me Down

It’s my last week here in SG before I take on a whole new chapter in life.

Truth be told, I am such a family girl that even going for school camps made me miss home so badly. I can’t even begin to envisage the kind of emotions that will overwhelm me as I walk through those departure gates this Sunday…

But there must always be that first step.

(Sorry, I’m sure you know by now of my obsession with penguins)

It has been a hectic week of meet-ups and gatherings; a series of part time jobs and internship hours all in a bid to earn as much extra cash as I possibly can before I splurge those € notes. And I finally have the time and energy to get down to reviving this blog of mine. Initially I wanted to keep this blog private but I guess jotting down my exchange experience and lessons learnt will benefit myself and possibly others too. So I guess, why not just go public? After all, only those who want to know what’s going on in your life will bother reading this space. And maybe, my narcissistic self will be happy that I can also be a pseudo popular blogger! (kidding)

On a side note, for any of my juniors who will be going to Belgium for their exchange, let me just pre-empt you of the crazy visa fees and long process time. From an operations major’s standpoint, I’d like to add that the entire process is highly inefficient with long waiting times plus sky-high costs for the visa applicant. (Cues: long sighs) If you need help or have any queries, just let me know and I’d be more than willing to guide you along.

With that, I shall end my first official public post! Do watch this space to follow me as I travel around not just to discover Europe for the very first time, but also to uncover more about myself.

Nomz,
Camelia
